July Deadline for Adjuster/Bill Reviewer Certifications:

May 1, 2008

Workers’ compensation claims operations have until July to certify that claims adjusters and medical bill reviewers working on their behalf meet Department of Insurance training/experience requirements. However, CDI says only insurers admitted to transact workers’ compensation business in the state must submit a Workers’ Compensation Adjuster Certification Acknowledgment of Receipt Form and Data Workbook, while self-insured employers and TPAs should use the certification format outlined in CCR §2592.
