CWCI Offers On-Demand Webinar on the Impact of the 2021 Med-Legal Fee Schedule Changes

August 1, 2022

Oakland, CA — Two weeks ago the California Workers’ Compensation Institute (CWCI) released an 18-page Research Update report that examined the effects of the 2021 revisions to the Medical-Legal Fee Schedule (MLFS) on med-legal utilization and costs.  Last week, CWCI Senior Research Associate Stacy Jones, who authored the study, and CWCI General Counsel Sara Widener-Brightwell, conducted a half hour webinar, “An Early Look at the Impact of the New Med-Legal Fee Schedule,” in which they reviewed the changes and discussed the results of the study.  The session was followed by a detailed Q&A session.

The session was recorded, and the Institute is now offering the program as an on-demand webinar which will be available from August 4 through September 15.  The on-demand webinar is free to CWCI member company employees, $75 for nonmembers.  The webinar is a convenient way to provide remote and in-office staff a short refresher course on the Medical-Legal Fee Schedule changes as well as insights into the impact of those changes, and the on-demand feature will allow the program to be viewed at the registrant’s convenience.

Employees of CWCI member companies and non-members may register for the on-demand webinar by clicking here.  Log-in instructions for the webinar will be emailed to all registrants.  Anyone with questions may call Mel Long at 510-251-9470.
