CWCI Debuts Redesigned Website

May 31, 2008

Oakland, Calif. — The California Workers’ Compensation Institute (CWCI) has announced the launch of its redesigned website, featuring a bolder, more streamlined look; new navigation and search tools to improve access to CWCI research, news and information for Institute members, subscribers, and the public; and a revamped store that makes it easy to order products or publications, or to register online for CWCI seminars.
The website address is the same as in the past, www.cwci.org, but the design is much more user friendly. For starters, the Institute overhauled the Search function, which is now prominently displayed at the top of each page so users can type in key words to quickly hunt down a virtual library of information on specific topics. In addition, the revamped Resource section allows users to create a customized email alert system for various types of publications; to link to related websites; to find answers to frequently asked questions; or to set up an electronic subscription to expand their access to CWCI Bulletins, Research and/or Significant Decision sections, as well as the Regulatory and Medical Fee Schedule sections. Authorized employees of CWCI member companies also can access these sections, along with Member-Only areas, including a new Legal section featuring amicus briefs filed by CWCI in key court cases; a Committee section with CWCI committee rosters, schedules, agendas and minutes; and Institute comments on draft regulations submitted to DWC forums, information on hearings, and the Institute’s Reg Tracker template.
The public and Institute members are invited to visit the CWCI website (http://www.cwci.org/index.html) and may provide feedback via the "Contact Us" button at the bottom of the home page.
