CWCI Elects Board of Directors For 2017

Susan Gordon, Head of Workers’ Compensation Underwriting Product for Zurich North America, was reelected as Chair of the California Workers’ Compensation Institute (CWCI) Board of Directors for 2017 at the Institute’s 53rd Annual Meeting in Oakland.

Joining Ms. Gordon on the Institute’s Executive Committee are Martin Brady of Schools Insurance Authority; John Dickey, Liberty Mutual Insurance; Kevin Harnetiaux, The Hartford Insurance Group; David P. Mitchell, Republic Indemnity Company of America; Kathleen Muedder, Travelers; and Vernon L. Steiner, State Compensation Insurance Fund.

Also serving on CWCI’s 2017 Board of Directors will be Sharon Thaler, AIG; Roger L. Moseley, Alaska National Insurance Company; Paul Ziegler, Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty; Matthew Zender, AmTrust North America; Rose Barrett of Berkshire Hathaway/Applied Underwriters; Justin Boardman, CHUBB; Rob Shatsnider, CompWest Insurance Company; David Macy, EMPLOYERS; Amanda Granger, ICW Group; Kris Mathis, Pacific Compensation Insurance Company; Eric Hansen, Preferred Employers Insurance; Diana Harrelson, Zenith Insurance Company; Kevin Confetti, University of California.

The Institute, established in 1964, is a private, nonprofit association working to improve California workers’ compensation through research, information, education and representation. CWCI members include 23 insurer groups (composed of nearly 200 underwriting companies that write and service more than 83 percent of California statewide workers’ compensation premium, as well as 29 of the largest public and private self-insured employers in the state.
