OSIP Update "Approved Regulations" Effective July 1, 2020

As an update to the Institute’s May 27, 2020 Executive Memo, the Office of Self Insurance Plans (OSIP) has just posted the new forms required for submission of the annual report pursuant to the regulations that became effective on July 1, 2020.

The filing of the public self-insurer’s report is due no later than October 1. 2020.  Lyn Booz, OSIP Chief, responded to our request for clarification, on behalf of our Associate members, relative to the application of the regulations to the valuation period covered under these regulations.  Ms. Booz has clarified that the first annual report covers the valuation period from 07/01/19 through 06/30/20 and that extensions for filing generally will not be granted.
