No Changes In WC Claim Forms, Pamphlets And Posting Notices For 2024

Date: 11/02/2023

CCR §9883 allows insurers, employers or private enterprises to develop their own workers’ compensation posting notice and new hire pamphlet, and some organizations that market these materials and other mandatory employer notices have begun advising clients to preorder 2024 versions of the required notices.

Please be advised that DWC’s version of the posting notice, the DWC-1 claim form/NOPE, and the requirements for the new hire pamphlet are imbedded in regulations that have not been revised since they were adopted in July 2015 with a January 2016 effective date.  Furthermore, none of the statutory changes enacted this year will require revisions to the workers’ compensation posting notices (CCR §§9881 – 9881.1), new hire pamphlets (CCR §9880), or claim form/Notice of Potential Eligibility (CCR §10139), so you may continue to use your current inventories of these materials in 2024.

CWCI updated and obtained DWC approvals for its new hire pamphlets and posting notices eight years ago to make them compliant with the benefit notice regulation changes that were adopted at that point.  The Institute will continue to stock these notices, along with the 6-part claim form, in our Forms/Publications Store, so should you need to reorder you may do so at www.cwci.org/store.html.

CWCI members are eligible for a 15 percent discount on orders with subtotals over $1,000.  If you have questions about these materials or about the member discount, please call the Institute at 510-251-9470.
