Dept. of Ins. Issues WC Adjuster Certification Data Call for 2014

The California Department of Insurance today issued formal notice to all insurers admitted to transact workers’ compensation insurance in the state advising them of their 2014 workers’ compensation adjuster certification (WCAC-2014) reporting obligations. This annual report is required under Ins. Code §11761 and CCR, Title 10, Chapter 5, Subchapter 3, §§2592–2592.08.

Insurers must return the the WCAC-2014 Acknowledgement of Receipt Form within the next two weeks (no later than May 30, 2014); while the WCAC-2014 Data Workbook is due no later than July 7, 2014. In addition, please note that any request for an extension in submitting the WCAC-2014 data call should be in writing and must be sent to Data Call Team Leader Noelle Shum Noelle.Shum@insurance.ca.gov by June 30, 2014.

A letter attached to the notice, which was issued via email, includes details and reporting instructions, as well as information on how insurers can retrieve the required reporting materials from the internet.
