CWCI'S SB 863 Seminar: Pre-Registration Notice

Date: 09/14/2012

CWCI has set the dates for its 2012 workers’ compensation reform seminars, which will be held Monday, October 15 at the Grand Event Center in Long Beach and repeated on Friday, October 19 at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco. The 1-day program will be presented by CWCI Claims and Medical Director Brenda Ramirez, CWCI General Counsel Mike McClain and workers’ compensation defense attorney Richard Jacobsmeyer (Shaw, Jacobsmeyer, Crain & Claffey, Oakland). Full details and registration information for the program are included in the attached flyer.

Continuing education units will be available for attorneys, as CWCI is a State Bar of California approved MCLE provider (5 hours). The Institute also will provide certificates of attendance for those seeking credit towards the Department of Insurance workers’ comp claim administrator certification requirements and for submission to the Association of Hearing Representatives of California.

Tuition, which covers the 1-day program, the course manual, Continental breakfast, lunch and beverage service is $395, with a $75 discount available to CWCI member company employees (see the back of the attached flyer). Early registration is strongly recommended, as registrations will be accepted in the order received, and demand for this program is expected to be high.

The fastest and easiest way to register is to enroll online. Simply click the “Seminar” button at www.cwci.org to sign up using the online registration system. Alternatively, you may complete and return the registration form on the back of the attached flyer along with your payment. Individuals whose registration with payment is not received by October 11 and walk-ins may only be accepted on a space available basis, so again, please register early. If you have questions or special needs, call CWCI, 510-251-9470.
