CWCI HotLinks to Debut Today
One of the key functions of the Institute is to help keep our members up to date on news, information and research affecting the California workers’ compensation system. Toward that end, we produce a wide range of publications – research reports, bulletins, executive memos, executive briefings, news releases, etc. — all of which are posted on our website and available to our members.
Given the volume and the diversity of the materials produced, we know it can be challenging to keep up with all of these publications and to locate the information when you need it. To help streamline that process, we have developed a new quarterly publication, CWCI HotLinks. The first issue will be emailed to you later today, so please keep an eye out for it. The HotLinks will provide you with:
• Listings of all CWCI publications produced during the most recent quarter, including publication dates.
• 1-2 line descriptions of each topic and the various formats in which the information is available (e.g., research report, Bulletin, Executive Briefing, news release), so you can choose the level of detail you want to view.
• Live links that will allow you to click into our website to access specific documents quickly and easily.
HotLinks are designed to improve awareness of and access to our information, and to expand the audience for our publications by driving traffic to our website. The listings for Bulletins, Exec Memos, Exec Briefings and member/subscriber research reports link to password-protected "Members Only" sections of our website, so to access these items, simply click the link, then enter your log-in information. HotLinks are a CWCI member benefit, and all the publications listed are free to our members, so if you or others on your staff don’t already have a members-only password, or you have forgotten it, email Perla Medrano at CWCI (pmedrano@cwci.org) and she will set you up. (Note: The registered email address for members-only access must go to a member company email account).
While our primary audience is CWCI members, some HotLinks listings (i.e., news releases, certain public policy research reports, and seminar and forms/publications updates) link to public sections of the website that can be directly accessed by anyone just by clicking the link that is provided, so the Hotlinks also may be useful to your policyholders, agents and brokers, bill reviewers, TPAs, or others who want to stay informed about California workers’ compensation. Therefore, you are welcome to forward these listings to anyone who you think would benefit from them, or have them email me (byoung@cwci.org) and I will add them to the quarterly distribution list so that they can link to the public information available via the HotLinks. Again, the initial version of HotLinks will be e-mailed later today, so stay tuned.
