CWCI Begins Shipping Claim Forms, Posting Notices & Pamphlets With 2016 Updates

The Institute has taken delivery of the recently revised DWC-1 Claim Form/Notice of Potential Eligibility, as well as English and Spanish versions of our newly revised workers’ compensation posting notice (If A Work Injury Occurs…), new hire pamphlet (Facts About Workers’ Compensation) and injured worker pamphlet (Facts For Injured Workers).

Over the last week, we have shipped more than 100,000 of the new pamphlets, posting notices and claim forms to members and customers who pre-ordered following last month’s announcement that the state had adopted the final benefit notice regulations, which take effect 1/1/16. If you did pre-order from us, your materials should be received within a week of being shipped, depending on how far they have to go (regular shipment is via UPS ground). Our fulfillment department will continue to process, package and ship orders on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you plan to order from us, please factor in enough time for shipment, as well as for assembling and distributing your 2016 claims kits prior to the holiday rush.

CWCI’s updated pamphlets and posting notices reflect current law, and have been approved by the DWC so you do not need to wait until 2016 to begin using them, however, if you have inventories of the current versions, you may continue to use them through the end of this year. The new DWC-1 claim form should be used beginning January 1, 2016.
