Since the 1990s, California's workers' comp inpatient hospital fee schedule has set allowable fees at 120% of Medicare allowances. SB 228 and regulations that took effect in 2004 revised the schedule. This CWCI study measures the impact of the changes by comparing average amounts allowed under the schedule in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
