The U.S. Department of Labor reports that California's State Average Weekly Wage (SAWW) rose from $956.20 to $984.83 (+2.994 percent) for the 12 months ending March 31, 2009, an increase that will boost minimum and maximum temporary total disability (TTD) rates for 2010 injuries; permanent total disability (PTD) rates for workers injured on or after January 1, 2003 who have 100 percent permanent disability ratings; and maximum weekly rates for death benefit installment payments.
