Updated IRIS data on California workers' comp medical loss, indemnity benefit and medical cost containment (MCC) payments on AY 2006 – 2017 lost-time claims finds that while more developed data on older claims show average paid losses on lost-time claims are leveling out or declining, less developed data on newer claims indicate that average paid losses in the early stages of a claim are slowly trending up.
