After nearly two years of forums, debates and hearings on how to revise workers' comp benefit notices, in December 2007 the state amended regulations affecting dozens of notices, effective April 9, 2008. For claims administrators, failure to meet the requirements could lead to audit penalties. Two weeks prior to the effective date the state posted a revised benefit notice manual with sample benefit notices on its web site.
