CWCI Begins Shipping 2013 Posting Notices and Pamphlets With SB 863 Updates

The Institute has begun shipping the English and Spanish versions of our newly revised workers’ compensation posting notice (If A Work Injury Occurs…) and new hire pamphlet (Facts About Workers’ Compensation) to members and customers who pre-ordered following our announcement earlier this month that the SB 863 revisions to these notices had been approved by the DWC. We have already received orders for more than 100,000 of the new pamphlets and posting notices, and those orders are being processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Our fulfillment department is working feverishly to package and ship these orders so that you will have them available to include in your 2013 claims kits. Regular shipment is via UPS ground, so depending on how far the materials need to go, the notices should be received within a week of shipment.

Please note: the DWC-1 Claim Form/Notice of Potential Eligibility is imbedded in regulation, so claims administrators and employers should continue to use the current claim form (Rev. 6/10) until the regulation is amended, which is not expected until mid-2013 at the earliest.
